Friends by Fate. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY)

Today is a day that belongs to my best friend in the whole world. We’ve known each other practically our whole life and I know we’ll continue to be in eachother’s live’s for as long as we live because I know that we were always meant to be friends. In this world or another. We are so different but yet so much alike and I think that’s what makes us fit. There’s no one I can relate more too than this girl! 

We’ve had so many fun memories and so many awkward ones. I love that we always get to go through those awkward situations together because it makes us laugh at ourselves so much. Even from day one when we first met, it was kindergarden and this month she had the morning schedule while I had the afternoon until one day both schedules combined and both our classes were together for a day. I remember walking in and going to MY table to sit down and guess who is sitting in MY chair. That’s right, Miss Kenecha! I was so shy but I literally told her she was in my seat and she was like "Am I?" but she didn't do anything after that. I didn't know what to do so I told the teacher and she said “that’s okay, you can sit over here.” I felt so awkward because I was thinking, “Why me? Why did I have to be in this awkward situation and what if i'm sitting in someone else's seat now?” It turns out that that exact same chair at the exact same table where I always sat was also Kenecha’s chair. Can you imagine how awkward I made Kenecha feel as well? I think that was the craziest coincidence we have ever faced. 

Once we were actually in grade school where we were actually in the same classes we actually got to know each other a little bit. But, both of us were so quiet that we didn’t know each other really well. The funny thing was though, we were in the exact same classes up until grade 6, is that not another crazy coincidence. I think that fate was trying to make sure that we became proper friends. We were already best friends by grade 6 though which is probably why we finally ended up in completely different classes. High school was the same, we were separated, but we weren’t because we hung out between classes or after school.

I can’t forget how around fourth grade, she ended moving really close to my house. We were friends then but we were still a little bit awkward around each other. Or, more like, I was just really shy. One of her older sisters is the same age as my older sister so they were friends. I was just getting home from another friends house and when I walk into my yard I see Kenecha swinging on my swings with her sister, Jelissa, and my sister, Alyssa. I saw them and kind of looked away and headed towards my door until Alyssa shouts out, “Hey, Kelsey, look! Kenecha is here.” I just smiled and walked into my house because I was too shy to go over with them. I’m sure that made Kenecha feel awkward as well. But, due to that fact she lived just up the hill from me, we ended up hanging out much more after that. My yard was known as the yard where everyone gathered. Everyone would hang out on my swings or come over to play spotlight or home free tag at night. Literally everyone around my area would always come over so that was like usually between 10 and 20 people. I’m not lying. Usually around 10 people most of the time though. This was practically every night during the summer. Because of this, Kenecha would always come down with Jelissa and so Her and I and one of my other friends would always be together and would usually hide together. (Not gonna lie, I was really good at this game, no one could ever catch me. :P) We ended up being really good friends after that. Best friends.

All these little things brought us together which I think is pretty cool and I am so thrilled to have her as a best friend in life. We can talk about anything and everything and we just understand each other so incredibly well. Besides things like our taste in music we pretty much have the same personality, find the same things funny, and view life in the same way. We have so many exciting and funny memories and I'm looking forward to many more.
