Oh, to be a kid!

Hey everyone! So, unfortunately we had more snow recently. We had a bit of a snow storm with a lot of wind resulting in blinking lights. We were literally rid of all the snow with some lovely days then suddenly mother nature is like "Surprise...bet you thought you've seen the last of me." But, anyways after that day, the snow has been slowly melting away. It's almost gone once again. The weather this weekend was actually really nice. Saturday in particular was quite beautiful! The sun wasn't out per say, I mean it was out, but it was hidden by clouds. But it was still there as you can tell by all the squinting in these photos. I could barely look at the camera. There was also a lack of wind which is absolutely amazing where I live because it's always windy here living by the ocean. And without the wind there making me cold, I was able to avoid my winter's coat once again!! Kenecha and I went and bought our first icebergs this year as some of you may have seen on our instagram. It's a tradition. If you read our blog long enough, you probably already know that. For those of you who don't know what an iceberg is, It's a slushie with ice-cream floating at the top and it's our favourite thing ever! 

It was pretty foggy all day but it wasn't too bad. Later in the day though, we went down by the water and it looked pretty freaky. The water was a light gray with a reflection of the sun and in the distance there was just a shadow of a boat tied near by because of all the fog. It literally looked like a pirate ship. It seriously looked like something out of a movie, way too perfect. Possibly a horror film even. 

My outfit is mostly all black. I'm quite in love with the sweater i'm wearing, I wear it quite a bit. It's very cozy and large and oh so perfect. I bought it from Suzy shier a while back along with the boots which you've seen me wear often. 

Oh, the tunnel behind me is literally right next to my house and I've grown up playing down there. Well, once I was old enough. It holds so many memories for me. It's a bit different now though. There was once a perfectly round cement tunnel there and me and my sisters and cousins and friends would run through there (without our parents knowing, of course.) We would reach our foot inside and then reach our other leg over to the other side and run down there without touching the water and then carefully climb out to the side which was a little more crazy then this side because the river was much deeper and wider. After a hurricane we had in 2010, with so much rain and flooding, the road and the tunnel had collapsed and it was months before it was fixed. Now that's the tunnel we have that you see in the photos. Now as exciting and not as dark and creepy. Also, the river on this side is wider then it used to be. I used to be able to climb down and jump from one side to the other. I mean I probably still could now that my legs are a bit longer. :P OH, the fun of being a kid and the places that excite you, I want to go back to that.
