Two Easy Autumn Decor pieces.

Monday 10 October 2016

Hey guys! We wanted to share these fall DIY's with you guys that we tried out recently. If you like DIY's or fall decor then check out these simple decor pieces that i'm sure anyone can make.

This one was so easy to make and it's so autumnal, a perfect piece for fall. You can hang it outside your door or inside your house. Where we live it's very windy so ours stays indoors. We really like how this one looks. It's so colourful and gives off such autumnal vibes.

All you need is one of these twig wreaths (we are not actually sure what they are called) which you can find at a dollar store, some fake leaves and string or wire.
Start by tying string all around the wreath however long you desire and whatever length apart. We used a total of 6 pieces around. Then start adding the leaves to the string by poking a tiny whole in the each leaf for the string to pass through. Do this all the way down the string making sure to keep them a few inches apart. Then continue this with the remaining string. Tie some thick string around the top so you can hang it up and voila you are done!!

We really liked these. These are amazing for adding some cozy decor pieces to your home. You can put them on a mantle or a side table, a cabinet. These can literally go anywhere.

Everything that you will need we obtained at a dollar store. If you already have mason jars at home and don't know what to use them for then try this idea out. You will also need paint, leaves (or another outline if you prefer), string, some autumnal pieces like pinecones and sticks or even leaves. You will also need tea light candles. Fake of course. You can also add glitter but that's optional. Also, if you have pumpkin spice scents or other, that we be a really nice touch as well.

Start by placing the leaf where you want the opening view to be. You can be creative with it. We put one up straight and the other sideways. Make sure its secure so the paint won't leak under and then paint your mason jar the colour of your choice. Preferably, an autumnal colour. Add glitter if desired. I added glitter to the red and orange one and it gave it a little sparkle. Kenecha chose not to use glitter on hers so it's optional to what you like. Once it drys (it make take a while) start placing your autumnal pieces inside your jar. we put a fake leaf at the bottom for everything to sit on. We added pinecones and some fake twigs. We also sprinkled in some of the pumpkin spice packet to give it a nice cinnamon like smell and it smells amazing. Once we had everything placed where we wanted it, we add the candles. You can finish it off by tying a bow around the top of the jar (optional). I think it gives it a nice finishing touch.

We hope you liked these DIYS. Let us know what you think of them and if you would try them out yourselves.
