Halloween Baking: Pumpkins & Cats.

Friday 16 October 2015

Since Halloween is just around the corner we thought we would do a little bit of baking. Seeing on how we are not the best bakers (yet) we decided to try our hand at rice krispies, Keeping in the halloween theme we shaped them into little pumpkins and kitty cats. We think they can out pretty cute, if we can do it anyone can do it, believe us.

Ingredients:
6 cups of Rice Krispies.
6 cups of Marshmellows.
6 teaspoons of butter.
Food Coloring.
Vanilla Extract.

Step 1: Measure and add butter into a pan over medium heat.

Step 2: Measure out your marshmellows then add them to the pan once butter is melted.

Step 3: Once the marshmellows have melted remove pan from heat.  Measure and add in half of a teaspoon of the vanilla extract and food colouring, mix and then stir in your rice krispies. We spilt ours in half we put orange in half of the recipe and we mixed a so many different colors to try and make black for the other half. Also we could of added a bit more food coloring haha
.
Step 4: Once all the food coloring is all blended it take the pan off the heat and let it settle for a few minutes and then we started to shape our pumpkins and cats while it was still warm. That is pretty much it. Simple and fun :)

We really enjoyed doing this and they tasted so good! What do you think of this simple and cute treat?

Have a wonderful weekend! :)
