The Joys Of Christmas!

Now that Christmas is pretty much here we are very excited! We thought we would make a list of things we love during the Christmas season! 

Family - During Christmas spending time with your family is just the best. Everyone gathered around the Christmas tree on Christmas day just enjoying each others company and the sense of happiness all around really makes Christmas so much more special! I just love when all my family gets along, even if it is just for one day :)

Giving - Sure, getting gifts is always lovely but once you get older you realize that giving is actually the fun part. We love buying things for our family and friends it's always so exciting. You get to pick out things for them and surprise them on Christmas! There's always that challenge of what to get them, buying the perfect gift for each person. Then, of course, you have to try and keep it a secret. Seeing their reaction is always pretty great, too.

Atmosphere - You know that feeling you get when you know Christmas is almost here? That feeling you really can't describe but you get it every year? Isn't it just amazing, I love how people seem to get nicer during this time and all the kids so excited about the holidays. I love just thinking back to when I was a kid this time of the year was so magical!

Lights - How can you not love Christmas lights? Seeing people with their houses all done up with beautiful lights is something we look forward to every year! My fave thing to do is walk around town and look at the houses everyone has there own style and it is fun to see what everyone does, plus it lights up the night sky and makes walking in the dark so much more awesome!

Movies - What is Christmas without watching a few Christmas Films. You'll probably turn on your tv and find one easily during this month. Christmas movies really get you into the holiday spirit as well. A few favourites of ours would be "Jack Frost" and "Christmas Shoes". Both are quite sad, though. Of course we also love some happier ones like Home Alone which is a classic! :)

Music - We like to listen to Christmas music a little bit early if we're being honest. Sometimes we secretly start listening to it in September, but don't tell anyone. November at the latest. Christmas music warms up the soul and gets you super hyped for the holiday season! We love going places and just hearing some classic Christmas music floating through the air. We like to sing "Winter Wonderland" and "Baby, it's Cold Outside" when we are out walking around the town in the snow. Another great Christmas song is Michael Buble's, "Baby, Please Come Home" That one is amazing.

Get Together's - You have to have a get together over Christmas. You know, where all your family members all come together under the same roof whether they like each other or not, lol. You get to see people you may not have seen in a while and it get's quite fun. Throw in some food and it's like "Heck Yeah! What a Party." I mean, how can you turn down so much food?
